South Windsor Bark Park is located at the top of the hill at Chief Ryan Way

The Town of South Windsor's Bark Park opened its gates in November 18, 2007 and has been a huge success. This long awaited dog park features separate areas for small and large dogs, water and clean up stations and agility equipment. Set next to beautiful Nevers Road Park, this is a wonderful addition for South Windsor's residents and their four footed friends.

The Town Sanitarian has included the Bark Park in the mosquito control program, everything is safe for dogs and will be posted when the area is treated.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT IN THE CANINE RECRUIT FUNDRAISER!
Friends of the South Windsor Bark Park collected donations on Saturday July 12th, 2008 and Sunday July 13th in order to assist the South Windsor Police Department with the purchase of their newest canine officer. Your VERY generous donations totaled $1,000.00 and a check was presented to Chief Tyler this week.

A big thanks to Tami Sarra of Camp Bow Wow, and all of our other members
who donated items for our raffle basket.

Congratulations to the winner, Steve Basson of South Windsor! Steve commented that he is very appreciative of the park and frequents it often!

Paws In The Park Raffle Basket Winner!

Congratulations to Deb LaBella of South Windsor, the winner of the doggie goodie basket that the "Friends" raffled off at the Paws in the Park event on May 3, 2008 at Nevers Road Park.

What’s New?

We’ve got water!!! Thanks to the Town of SW, our pups – and humans – now having drinking fountains both inside the gated areas, and out!

Please note though – the water will be turned off in early November, in order to prevent the pipes from freezing over the winter. We will put the bowls back out during that time.

Please consider donating!  We are a 100% non-profit organization who depends on donations from our park visitors.
